Pharmpak

Serverless e-Pedigree tracking for pharmaceutical packaging

Developer 2019 Web App
Pharmpak

The Challenge

Pharmpak packages medication for pharmacies and hospitals, and needed e-Pedigree tracking — a verifiable chain of custody for drugs — alongside their public site.

The Solution

A React application with Cognito authentication, GraphQL over Lambda, and DynamoDB, delivered as static assets from S3 through CloudFront; the marketing site built with Parcel. Fully serverless: no servers to patch, and idle cost near zero.

What I Built

e-Pedigree Application

Chain-of-custody records for packaged medication, behind Cognito-authenticated access.

Serverless Backend

GraphQL over Lambda with DynamoDB — no instances to maintain or harden.

Static Delivery

The application ships from S3 through CloudFront.

Outcome

  • A compliance-sensitive application with almost no infrastructure to operate
